The Story of Jesse

I was born in Wheeling West Virginia and grew up in the surrounding Tri-State area.  I graduated from Bishop Donahue Memorial High School in 1995 and went on to college.  I earned  my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 1999 from Ohio University in the wonderful little town of Athens, Ohio.  After graduating, I started working for Bear Creek Corp. in Hebron, Ohio.  There I started by taking orders over the phone and was scared to death to try out customer service.  I was talked into doing this and soon found myself teaching and team leading for the company.  In 2002 I was promoted to the status of Senior Team Lead. 

It had always been in my heart to travel to the headquarters in Medford, Oregon because that is where I would be able to work with the catalog and pursue my graphic arts interests.  The opportunity finally presented itself.   I sold all of my stocks and left everyone I knew and loved to go to Oregon for a position that may, in time get me to the arts division.  I had complete peace with this decision.  I know now that my purpose is not what I thought it would be.  God is sculpting me to be the woman that He has been waiting for. 

Things are not what I had expected here.  The cost of living is 6% higher and the pay is lower.  I still have peace within even though I don't know anyone and getting lost has become a ritual. I know that something wonderful will meet me here.  God has provided me with distance from distraction.  He has given me solitude so that I might find Him once again.  God is teaching me patience, which I lack.  He has also provided me the most wonderful church here.  Applegate Christian Fellowship has been a blessing to me in many ways.  My very first visit felt like a homecoming.  I know that my blessings are many and that I have many more to come.
